Edible Austin
wants to connect you to your local food community!  Edible Austin is an independently owned, community-based publication that publishes quarterly plus a special annual Edible Austin COOKS! edition and is a member of Edible Communities publications. Our magazine promotes the local food culture and economy in Central Texas, season by season. Our mission is to transform the way our community shops for, cooks, eats and relates to the food that is grown and produced in Central Texas. We celebrate local, sustainable, seasonal, authentic foods and culinary traditions.

Edible Austin also supports and produces many community-building events and festivals throughout the year, which we list on our calendar and promote with our e-newsletter. These include our annual Edible Austin Eat Local Week, a 100% fundraiser for local food nonprofits, which happens during the first week of December and engages restaurants and markets throughout Central Texas to feature locally sourced foods, along with special events throughout the week celebrating different aspects of our local food and beverage culture. Another signature event is our Edible Texas Wine Food Match, an annual culinary competition pairing regional food with appellation Texas wines.

Through our publication, e-newsletter, website and events, we will connect you with local growers, retailers, chefs and food artisans—enabling those relationships to grow a healthy and vibrant local food economy. Edible Austin is available free at selected distribution locations or by subscription.
