Edible Austin also supports and produces many community-building events and festivals throughout the year, which we list on our calendar and promote with our e-newsletter. These include our annual Edible Austin Eat Local Week, a 100% fundraiser for local food nonprofits, which happens during the first week of December and engages restaurants and markets throughout Central Texas to feature locally sourced foods, along with special events throughout the week celebrating different aspects of our local food and beverage culture. Another signature event is our Edible Texas Wine Food Match, an annual culinary competition pairing regional food with appellation Texas wines.
Through our publication, e-newsletter, website and events, we will connect you with local growers, retailers, chefs and food artisans—enabling those relationships to grow a healthy and vibrant local food economy. Edible Austin is available free at selected distribution locations or by subscription.

Edible Austin owner/publisher MARLA CAMP is a journalist, artist and food enthusiast who believes that the power of print can build community and effect change. She launched Edible Austin in 2007, as a quarterly publication that celebrates local, fresh food season by season and connects readers to the local food growers, producers, artisans, cultures and traditions in Central Texas. In 2009, she was appointed by the Austin City Council to the Sustainable Food Policy Board that she helped to create as an advisory body to the city and county governments. In addition to publishing Edible Austin, she is the owner and creative director of Impact Productions, an award-winning full-service graphic design firm specializing in print and interactive publication and package design. Through her business and her board memberships on local arts and community service groups, she has gotten to know, appreciate and contribute to the Austin community's joie de vivre.
Associate publisher JENNA NOEL is a 2005 University of Texas graduate with a BS degree in Advertising and a minor in Business; and a Texas Creative Program graduate. She also works for Impact Productions as an Art Director and Production Manager. She has won numerous advertising awards including: Austin ADDYS 2006 Gold ADDY and Special Judges Award, 2007 Silver ADDY and 2006 Silver District ADDY. Jenna's interest in photography has lead her to work at two photography studios and the photography department at the Conroe Courier daily newspaper. She brings creative energy and an indefatigable pursuit of excellence to Edible Austin.
Editor Kim Lane is a writer and editor whose work has appeared in Mothering magazine, Salon, Pregnancy magazine and Green Prints, and in books such as Salon’s anthology Life as We Know It (Washington Square Press), Grrl Talk: Sass, Wit, and Wisdom from the Austin WriterGrrls (lulu.com) and Women Write the War (St. John's Press). She is founder of the multi-award winning website, AustinMama.com, and an occasional contributor to NPR's All Things Considered, where one of her commentaries once garnered more listener hate mail than the producer had ever seen -- something that makes Lane inordinately proud. Winner of the 2004 Vivian Castleberry Award from the Association of Women Journalists, and the 2006 Mentor Award from the Association for Women in Communications, Lane lives with her family and an ark’s-worth of animals in the wildflower and fire ant covered hills outside Austin.
