St.-Germain
St-Germain is the first liqueur in the world created in the artisanal French manner from freshly handpicked elder flower blossoms. And what of the taste of St-Germain? It has been said that Paris is a mélange curieux, a curious mixture of flavors, styles and influences. So it is with St-Germain. Neither passionfruit nor pear, grapefruit nor lemon, the sublime taste of St-Germain hints at each of these and yet none of them exactly. It is a flavor as subtle and delicate as it is captivating. A little like asking a hummingbird to describe the flavor of its favorite nectar. Très curieux indeed, n'est-ce pas?

Longs Vacuum & Appliance

Over 50 years ago, we began our journey. The vacuum business has changed drastically since 1956. At that time, we began by restoring and repairing vacuums, washer and dryers. We supplied the belts, bags and support for every vacuum on the market. Those days have changed. The demand for low prices has resulted in cheap, low-grade disposable vacuum cleaners. Without a dependable parts network to repair the vacuum, when it breaks you throw it away. Our dumpsites and landfills are full of broken vacuums. Long’s Vacuum & Appliance does not follow this “throw away” model of business. We are committed to quality and service, just as we were 55 years ago. 512-442-5562

Blanco Chamber of Commerce
Life paces itself slower in small towns. In Blanco, old-timers gather regularly at the Blanco Bowling Club and Café, and on the square, residents pause to chat at the post office. The Blanco River, which meanders through the southern edge of this Hill Country town, provides not only the community’s drinking water, but also its most popular tourist attraction Blanco State Park, one of the state’s smaller parks and most picturesque. It is one of only a few state parks with camping facilities located within a city, making supplies and small-town amenities readily available. For a closer look at Blanco, bring a bike and cycle through the town. From either end of the park, cyclists have easy access to city streets. For hikers and walkers, the town’s historic square is a minute jaunt from the campgrounds. Blanco’s majestic centerpiece on the square is the old Blanco County courthouse built in 1885.  Guests can also browse through a variety of antique and gift shops. Within a 40-mile radius of Blanco, you can also explore Fredericksburg, Enchanted Rock State Natural area, Lyndon B. Johnson National and State Historical Parks, Boerne, Gruene, Johnson City, Canyon Lake, and Pedernales State Park.

Restoration has occurred on Center Avenue, the “main” street of Downtown, and the Brownwood Lyric Theater is undergoing a complete renovation, and will soon be open again for live performances. Way Out Wineries is a group of boutique wineries from the northern part of the Texas Hill Country to just south of the DFW metroplex. Peach Basket
In 1977, E.W. and Rubye Hallford had started a good sized peach orchard close to Fredericksburg and found a building on main street that used to be a feed store. Using bales of hay for shelving, they sold boxes of peaches. When winter came along that year, they needed to figure out what else to do with the building they now had, and a health food store sounded like just the right thing! As momentum in the natural foods industry grew, so did The Peach Basket. The store is now one of the best privately owned health food stores around. We have a great selection, great quality, and great service. We pride ourselves on helping people any way we can.

Emma

At Emma, we're on a mission to create a world-class brand that's known by every small business owner, marketer and designer. And we're on our way, supporting the email marketing efforts of 30,000 businesses, non-profits, organizations and agencies doing all sorts of interesting things in all sorts of interesting places, assuming Belgium makes your list of interesting places, and why wouldn't it. And that's been the mission since Emma was founded in late 2001. Emma believes small businesses needed a simple, stylish way to stay in touch with their customers, members and fans. It should be a service, too, where customers can get help from real people, whether that's in the form of stylish custom email design from graphic designers or attentive support and advice. That's why they liked the name "Emma." Sure, it's a nice and handy abbreviation of the phrase email marketing, but more importantly, it brings with it an inherent human quality. It's a real name — like Antoinette or Frederick, only shorter.

A passion for friendship, food and wine fed the genesis of Jeffrey's in 1975. Founders Ron & Peggy Weiss and Jeffrey Weinberger pooled their interests, talents and enthusiasm to open a neighborhood Austin bistro such as they had encountered in their travels. They were part of the first wave of new American cuisine, and they made their mark with an original flair that is unmistakably Jeffrey's alone. An outstanding wine list serves as soul mate to the food. Knowledgeable, friendly service is a hallmark of Jeffrey's. Some of the wait staff have been here for more than 25 years. They obviously have reason to stay. 1204 West Lynn at West Twelfth, 512-477-5584
