4th Annual
Farm and Food Leadership Conference Taking Back Control of Our Food Supply This fourth annual conference, sponsored again this year by Edible Austin and Edible Dallas & Fort Worth, will focus on policy and regulatory issues affecting agriculture and our food supply, including raw milk, Codex, NAIS, the next Farm Bill, water use issues, regulation of slaughterhouses, Slow Money and more. National radio commentator and author Jim Hightower will provide the keynote address, and Chef Jesse Griffiths of Dai Due will prepare lunches using local foods. Edible Austin will have sponsor table space at the conference and can place appropriate direct marketing materials. We are also looking for local / organic snack food donors to provide snacks / samples for each day in the mornings and afternoons. 150–200 sustainable food advocates and leaders expected to attend from around the state.
