21st Annual Grape Stomp at Fall Creek Vineyards

August 21st and 28th, 2010

The 21st Annual Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival at Fall Creek Vineyards will be held Saturday, August 21st and Saturday, August 28th from 11:a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A harvest tradition spanning two decades, the ‘Grape Stomp’ is a two-Saturday event and celebration at Fall Creek Winery, with an array of fun activities for the entire family. Guests can enjoy live music on the Fall Creek Winery patio, winery tours, hayrides, a Castle Bounce and barrels full of grapes waiting to be crushed. Guests are encouraged to roll up their pantlegs and stomp, like the famous grape crush scene in ‘I Love Lucy’ which will be playing throughout.

“Harvest at Fall Creek is a high energy, exciting time, and we wrap up the vintage with some fun and relaxation at our annual Grape Stomp!” said Susan Auler, co-owner of Fall Creek Vineyards.

A stunning multi-course luncheon will be offered both Saturdays, featuring courses by some of Texas’ great chefs; Alma Alcocer of the new TNT Restaurant in Austin, Michael Flores, author and culinary instructor in San Antonio, Leu Savanh of Zagat-rated August E’s restaurant in Fredericksburg and Brian Hay, Chef on the ‘Austin Cooks’ TV show and Program Director of ACC’s Culinary Arts Program. Courses will be served with two award-winning Fall Creek wines.

Rounding out the day, guests can learn the secrets of wine tasting from nationally-known wine educator ‘Miss Jane’ Nickles. Her ‘Ready, Set, Sip!’ sessions will include a tasting of four Fall Creek wines.

All activities will be either inside the winery, under tents or shaded areas. For those not attending the luncheon, there will be catered food available for purchase through reservation.

For more information or to make your reservations, call Fall Creek Winery at (325) 379-5361. Lunches and seminar require separate reservations and payments.
