Arthouse at the Jones Center and Edible Austin present:
Jason Middlebrook exhibition and Communal potluck event Join Arthouse and exhibiting artist Jason Middlebrook on Saturday, November 20 for a full day of art, food, and fun! In conjunction with Middlebrook’s site-specific exhibition More Art About Buildings and Food, Arthouse is hosting a FREE community and family-friendly potluck event along with many related activities. Please come and bring your favorite dish to share with friends—old and new. Need an idea for a dish? Visit the exhibition beforehand and pick out a recipe from Middlebrook’s wall drawing! Workshops and demonstrations begin at 2pm, the artist speaks at 4pm, and the potluck takes place from 5-7pm. Live music and film screenings occur throughout the day. Eat Your Garden with Dorsey Barger Barger is the co-owner of Eastside Cafe. She will discuss how to prepare vegetables and herbs from our backyards. Gingerbread Building with Aimee Olson Olson is Department Dean of Baking and Patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin and a four time nominee for the James Beard Award. Edible Art with Paul Qui Qui is the executive chef of Uchi and Uchiko. He attended Austin's Texas Culinary Academy and has worked at Uchi and Uchiko since 2006. *Programs and presenters are subject to change. All supplies provided by Arthouse.
