The Turtle Restaurant and Edible Austin hosts Dinner and a Movie, Picnic Fund-raiser "Fresh" screening
Restaurateur and Slow Food advocate Mary Stanley, of The Turtle Restaurant, Gelateria and Enoteca Wine Bar in Brownwood and Edible Austin are teaming with the Brownwood Community Garden to present the film “Fresh!” October 2 in The Turtle’s event garden. A silent auction and picnic supper will round out the “Dinner and a Movie” theme event.
This event will have a $40 ticket price and seating is limited to 50 people, with the proceeds benefitting the Brownwood Area Community Garden.
The recently completed 22,000 square-foot community garden features a 6,000 gallon rainwater collection system and a state-of-the art drip irrigation system and donates half of their food production to local food pantries.
