with Chef Iliana de la Vega at Mexic-Arte Museum On Saturday, October 23 at 11 am, as a prelude to Viva la Vida Fest, Edible Austin and Mexic-Arte Museum are proud to present Chef Iliana de la Vega and Ernesto Torrealba who will demonstrate a menu for commemorating the anniversaries of Mexican Independence and Revolution. The menu will feature chiles en nogada, mole de olla and a coconut ante (fruit pudding). Tastings and recipe cards will be available for guests at this exceptional demonstration of authentic Mexican cuisine. Iliana de la Vega is a chef instructor at the Center for Foods of the Americas at The Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio, and de la Vega and Torrealba are also the owners of El Naranjo in Austin. Free admission, but reservations requested due to limited space. RSVP by Wednesday, October 20 or call 512-480-9373 x84. Priority will be given to Museum members. Then join Edible Austin for the 26th Annual Viva la Vida Fest outside the Museum from 2–10 pm. |
