Pie in the Sky Social at Austin Museum of Art November 11
Co-presented with Edible Austin, the Austin Museum of Art celebrates their exhibition of Romare Bearden’s art with a community event inspired by his images and featuring pies from local pie makers, author Carol Dawson and other special guests.
Drinks By: Zhi Tea, Paula's Texas Lemon (limoncella) and Saint Arnold's beer Carol Dawson will get the conversation started with stories about pie socials. She is an artist and writer. Dawson is the author of four novels, including The Mother-in-Law Diaries, and has also written for Texas Monthly, Southern Living and other publications and is the co-author of the recent book, House of Plenty: The Rise, Fall, and Revival of Luby's Cafeterias.
