Spring Native Plant Sale
Saturday, April 14th
The Wildflower Center’s biannual native plant sales feature hundreds of species of Texas natives, including many that you won’t find anywhere else. We sell seeds and plants in all categories, such as annual wildflowers, perennials, grasses, shade-friendly plants, pollinator-friendly plants, wetland plants, shrubs and trees. These native plants are beautiful, help conserve water, reduce mowing costs, provide habitat for wildlife, protect soil, and save money on fertilizer and pesticides.

Our Spring Plant Sale will feature hundreds of species of Texas natives, including seeds, annual wildflowers, grasses, perennials, wetland plants, shrubs and trees. Not only are they beautiful, but native plants help conserve water, reduce mowing costs, provide habitat for birds, butterflies and other wildlife, protect the soil, and save money on fertilizer and pesticides.
Native Plants of Central Texas

Take walks in and around Austin to new levels. Learn the basics of plant identification, including how to use a plant key, with Dr. Karen Clary, Wildflower Center Director of Conservation. This class will spend a lot of eyes-on and hands-on time outside identifying plants in Center gardens and on our trails. Students will also be introduced to conservation of rare plants and identification of invasive plant species (and how to fight them).
