Artisan chocolate maker Bob Williamson, owner of SRSLY Chocolate, returns to the workshop to teach us how to make real chocolate from scratch! In this bean to bar class he will share his expertise and show us the step by step processes of making chocolate. Best of all, you will get to take your own hand crafted chocolate bar with you! Participants must be at least 18 years of age to register for and attend this class. Class includes a take-home chocolate bar.

Celebrate Texas trees in the Arboretum with family-friendly tree climbing, walks and talks, s’more roasting, fort building, a tree sale and more! Wildflower Center ecologists and arborists will present fun, educational walks and demonstrations under the trees. Young explorers can learn, craft and play all day. Get swept up in aerial tree yoga demonstrations under our oak canopies.

Join us for this very popular workshop on fruits, nuts, and berries. Jim covers all aspects of home orchard production, from variety selection to pruning and harvesting. He also demonstrates pruning in our Natural Gardener orchard. He is our Central Texas specialist, having studied and worked in horticulture since the late 1970’s.

Young coined the term “Next World Wines” to describe his winemaking philosophy: focusing on using the best of Old World and New World techniques and at times blending them together with new technologies, as well as expanding beyond the current in vogue varieties to explore the next wave of outstanding wine grapes. At this special tasting event, enjoy hors d’oeuvres along with barrel samples of five upcoming blockbuster wines that will be available fall of 2018.
