New Farmers Markets

More choices, more days to buy local food! Check out two new farmers markets (producers only) in Austin. HOPE Farmers Market is on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at  414 Waller Street in the warehouse and studio space of glass artist and painter Reji Thomas. More than a just a food market, HOPE (Helping Other People Everywhere) Market is envisioned as a place for building community. In addition to local farmers, prepared foods and work from local artists, the market includes student DJs from Austin Art and Music Partnership, bike-repair corners, yoga workshops from Empower Yoga, cooking classes from East Side Show Room and information about sustainable agriculture and landscaping from Big Red Sun. 04 Market is another new farmers market open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in South Central Austin at 303 Johanna Street at the Boys & Girls Club soccer field. Vendors include Kala’s Kuisine, Engel Farms, Shady Hollow Farm, Design Your Dine, Terra Wear, GoodPop, Bastrop Cattle Company, massage therapist Maria Solis, Dad’s Granola and more.
