finely chopped fresh ginger
finely chopped fresh garlic
tuna steaks (about 1/2 lb. each)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Teriyaki Tuna Directions
Mix the first 5 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Simmer on medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes until reduced.
Remove from the pan and keep warm.
Wash the tuna thoroughly and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Grill the tuna on medium to high heat for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. (Or sear in a skillet on medium to high heat with 2 tablespoons olive oil for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.)
Top the hot tuna steaks with the teriyaki sauce mixture and serve.
